Shower Cleaner

This was me! I HATE cleaning the shower!!! I have tried every shower cleaner that promises to make cleaning so "easy," but none of them work! They all require me scrubbing till my arm feels like it is about to fall off and the shower still being coated in grime. YUCK!!!

While I know it isn't original, and only partly homemade, I have finally found my all time favorite shower cleaner!!!

You can mix the two in equal parts, or for a little extra scum fighting power use two part vinegar to one part dish soap. (ie. 2 c vinegar and 1 c dish soap) Now the recipe on the website says to use Dawn dish soap, but I only had the cheap stuff on hand, and it seemed to work awesome. I tried my luck with a cheap spray bottle and was unsuccessful with it, so I emptied out an old bottle of cleaning solution and just put my homemade mix in it. Just put the 2 ingredients in the spray bottle of your choice and gently shake/agitate it

Now when you use this cleaner you want to spray it on liberally. Be careful though since the smell is really strong. I usually have to cover my nose and spray as fast as I can, otherwise I end up having to spray in sections while I break for a few breaths of un-smelly air.

After it is sprayed on, just let it sit for at least half an hour. I usually let mine sit for a good hour. The smell continues to be pretty strong, but does fade some (and is almost completely gone after you rinse it off). Once it has sat and cured, just take a shower scrub brush and give it a gentle once over,and rinse with water. Then sit back and enjoy your now sparkling, shining shower! Seriously, it will look like it is brand new! Ah-Maze-Ing!!!

The downside to this cleaner is that while you get amazing results with very little effort, It doesn't last for very long. I have found that the remedy for this is to put some of our magical shower cleaning solution into one of those dish soap filled scrub brushes. After every couple of showers just brush the shower down with the scrub brush and leave it. This way your shower will stay clean and clear and sparkling.
